This is Volker

This month’s Face of Penta is Volker and we caught up with him at Pentahotel Eisenach. You can tell he’s been there plenty of times from his fantastic drink tip and from his favourite things about Penta (which did make us feel warm and fuzzy inside, thank you very much). His spirit animal is one of the world’s most majestic beasts… and we hope that has you intrigued enough to keep reading for the rest. 

Hi, let’s start with your name.

My name is Volker. 

What do you do for a living?

I work in the automotive industry. 

…and how would you describe that in simple words to your 6-year-old self? 

I wouldn’t need to do that - I played with cars when I was 6 years old. And now I'm building them ☺ 

Drink of choice? 

Martins Gink (Eisenach’s very own gin!). I tried it here in the hotel for the first time and it has been part of every visit ever since. 

Tell us something that you are passionate about. 

I need my daily jogging round to recharge and switch off. Here around the hotel there are great running routes; I discover new ones every time. 

What's your favourite thing about Penta? 

For me, it’s like an extension of my home. I'm on business around the world, and it's always comforting to be back here. I like the young team and the warmth. 

Last one: what’s your spirit animal? 

The sloth - sometimes I envy it ☺
