This is Kathrin
Our Face of Penta for the month of June comes to us from Pentahotel Kassel. Kathrin works in the medical field and is inspired by a famous founder of modern nursing. Her list of hobbies is monumental to say the least and there is definitely a common theme in both her professional and personal life of helping others with their health. To be honest we’re not quite sure how she manages it all, but we are most impressed and sure glad that she still has the time to visit Penta!
1. Who is the last person you called?
My mum.
2. What do you do for a living?
I work as a clinic manager in the field.
3. …and how would you describe that in simple words to your 6-year-old self?
I support and advise nurses and other medical staff on medical issues with patients who have stomas.
4. Tell us something that you are passionate about.
I have been dancing (standard and latin) for eight years. I like roller blading and jogging, meeting friends and cooking together. My project for this year is PMR (Progressive Muscle Relaxation) which I will also start teaching this year. I am also passionate about all kinds of music, from pop to rock and classical music!
5. Who are your role models?
Professionally, Florence Nightingale, because she initiated and developed a lot in nursing, much of which is still being built on today. In my everyday life kids are my role models, because they see and approach many things in a more light-hearted way with many great ideas.
6. Finally, what’s your drink of choice?
A good red wine.
