This is Danielle

We found our July Face of Penta at Pentahotel Reading. If you’ve enjoyed a live gig at Penta lately in Reading or Birmingham, then you probably have Danielle to thank (scroll down to our What’s On section and you will see what we’re talking about). Danielle runs Live & Love Music, a music agency representing musicians from a wide variety of genres that matches them with top venues in the UK. So, a big thanks from us to Danielle for helping us bring back live music in Birmingham and Reading!

 

1. Who is the last person you called?

My main musician Tom Martin - we are currently working on a really exciting wedding project. Tom is my most popular wedding artist. We think this new add-on service will become a big hit with couples once we've fully launched it and he’s the perfect musician to make it a success. Exciting!

 

2. What do you do for a living?

I run a live music agency called Live & Love Music, supplying the best singers and bands to venues and events across the UK. Our clients include various high-end bars and restaurants, hotels, weddings, corporate and private parties. It's been great working with Pentahotel Reading on live music events this year. It's such a lovely venue and the team have been very welcoming.

 

2.…and how would you describe that in simple words to your 6-year-old self?

A fun job, working with talented singers and attending some exciting music events.

 

3. Tell us something that you are passionate about.

I see my business as more of a lifestyle than just a job. I love what I do and that I get to work with so many talented musicians and some amazing venues. Every week is different. I thrive on the buzz of putting on a great event for people to enjoy and helping musicians do what they love to do for a living.

 

4. Who are your role models?

I would say my Grandad who is sadly no longer with us. He was always a big supporter of my business and was keen to hear all my latest news. He worked hard to build up his own business from scratch and become a success. He and my Dad are the only other family members to have run their own businesses so I have definitely taken inspiration from them both. I'm proud to be the only female entrepreneur in our family though! My musicians also inspire me. I come back feeling more motivated and full of new ideas after each gig.

 

6. Finally, what’s your drink of choice?

Pretty simple - just sparkling water with ice and lemon. Not very exciting I know, but I don't actually drink.
