We’re firm believers a trip to Paris is always a good idea, but it’s especially worth it in spring. When the weather gets warmer and the city bursts with colour, the French capital is much more than just the city of love. It is also home to great food, delicious wines, impressive museums and awesome music events. Here's a little list of things that should be on your radar:

For culture lovers: Nuit des Musées on 17 May

Paris is home to numerous impressive museums, including the famous Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. But did you know, you can visit both of these for free in the evening during Nuit des Musées on 17 May. Most of the participating museums open their doors until midnight, meaning you have the opportunity to visit several Paris museums at once.

If you can't make it to Paris on 17 May, here are three other great options to visit all year round:

  • Musée des Arts Forains – the historic fairground museum
  • Musée du Parfum – learn how perfume is made and take part in a workshop
  • Catacombs of Paris – venture into the catacombs beneath the city

Foire du Trône – France's largest funfair

Fancy a little action, some thrills, the smell of candyfloss and a whole lot of fun? Then head to the fair! La Foire du Trône runs from 4 April to 9 June. You can easily spend a whole afternoon here, and with 250 attractions, there is something for everyone, including children.

Ideal for jazz fans: Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés

If you like jazz, you simply cannot miss the Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Between the 12 and 19 May, the Odéon, the Église Saint-Germain-des-Pres and other venues will host a series of unforgettable jazz concerts.

Supersonic's Block Party Festival – Three days of the finest indie rock

From 29 to 31 May, the entire Bastille district will be transformed into the Supersonic Block Party Festival. Experience three days of awesome concerts with the best new the indie rock from all over the world. Ten venues and 120 concerts will give you an overview of the next generation of indie greats. Feeling thirsty or hungry afterwards? There are plenty of food trucks on site offering delicious street food and drinks.

Whichever event you choose, it's worth staying a little longer in Paris. Cosy, modern, stylish – it sounds like the perfect hotel, doesn't it? Our Pentahotel Paris CDG offers you a place to feel at home. And thanks to its location at CDG airport, it's also the ideal place to stop off or if you have an early flight home.
