A MONSTROUSLY GOOD CHOICE IN INVERNESS
WANNA HEAR A SECRET?
Come 'ere. Nessie loves to stay at our Academy Street hotel. It's his base for shopping in Eastgate, playing golf at Castle Stuart and peekaboo in the Highlands. Then, he loves to put his tail up and chill in our pentalounge. But let's keep that between us, okay?

NEIGHBOURHOOD TIPS #1
In 1704, close to 100% of the population was fluent in Gaelic, with 57% of the city’s population speaking only Gaelic. It’s spoken a lot less nowdays, but we’ll always raise a glass to your health and say Sláinte!
NEIGHBOURHOOD TIP #2
Calling all water babies! Inverness is the spot for you. Built at the mouth of the River Ness and the southwestern extremity of the Moray Firth, the city lies at the end of the Great Glen with Loch Ness, Loch Ashie and Loch Duntelchaig to the west. The Caledonian Canal also runs through the Great Glen, connecting Loch Ness, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy.
NEIGHBOURHOOD TIP #3
Like your footie? You’re in the right place. The city is home to three football clubs. Scottish Premier League team, Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. (Caley Thistle), plays at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, while Clachnacuddin F.C. plays in the Highland League. The third football side is Inverness City F.C. It’s time to get in the game!
